A personal milestone: All Special Quests 100% explored

I’m not usually one for these type of brag posts, but I’m making an exception here. Let me have this one. I remember the days of thinking I could never hope to touch Everest content like Abyss, and now I’ve successfully conquered it and so much more.

About the only thing I need to do to actually 100% complete all single player content at this point is clean up the Carina’s Challenges. In Vol. 2, it’s just completing Abyss with Carina’s Challengers, which I’m holding out on until I finally pull Longshot. Vol 1. though? Gotta beat 6.2.6 Champion with Kamala Khan, then do all three LoL runs with 4*s…

I’d ask you all to pray for me but there’d be no point, the prayers won’t be answered. The fact these challenges exist at all is already proof that either god had abandoned us or that he is impotent and cannot stop the folly of man.

    That is awesome . Congrats on a personal milestone. Also don't knock on Kamala khan, she is actually very well equipped for the champion boss.

    I actually found Vol 1 to be easier than vol 3 and used much less revives than my Epoch runs. They seemed very intense, but the ascensions actually helped a ton.

    I only have GM guantlet, abyss and herc path in regular eternity of pain.

    I'm planning to do Vol2 abyss challenge along with abyss exploration. Haven't done a single path. Which path should I take for each of the challenge (Mutant, carina, spiderverse). Also why is longshot necessary for carina challenge?

    3 short runs*.
    You can do all three runs wiht your ordeal team at this point for 1-2 revives max.

    Planning all of it out again have been fun.

    Well that’s a bit comforting to hear. Did you run recoil masteries for those runs, or is it better to just leave them off? I know LoL death timers are based on attack rating so recoils seem like they might be worth it, but I feel like a bunch of the champs like Vox and Northstar aren’t appreciative of losing 5% health per special.

    Here are my guides. Medusa had not been buffed yet so I don't know if that helps or not. But yes, I had to take suicides off. You're throwing too many specials.

    I can't find my O Canada write up, so maybe I didn't do a write up for it. I also forgot that the relics had now been introduced, which help a ton. especially if they evade.

    I don’t know that Longshot is strictly necessary, but from my planning it seems like he covers a lot of ground in one slot that I can’t otherwise. Should be able to handle every cosmic, including cheesing Cull and CMM, and notably handles Medusa fine who is rather annoying for having both unstoppable and autoblock. Also should handle Howard, Aegon, and maybe Mordo pretty well.

    Alas, Longshot is one of the 4 regular availability 6*s (I.e. not a trophy champ or a new champ not in basics yet) that I don’t own as a 6* yet, and I obviously don’t own a 7* either or else this wouldn’t be a problem. I even did my last path of Abyss instead of saving it for the Carina’s Challengers run purely for the abyss nexus you get from full exploration to see if I could get Longshot from that, but no dice.

    As for pathing, I’m planning on doing path 1 for Carina’s. For mutant, I did path 3 except I went to OML in that early fork instead of Dorm, meeting up back at Joe Fixit and doing path 3 as normal. For Spiderverse, that one was much longer ago but I believe I went to OML, then followed path 1 once I met up back at Joe Fixit until I got to GG. Quit out once I beat him, didn’t bother trying to make a full completion run out of it.

    As SirGamesBond said, assuming you can do an Ordeal run pretty cheaply then doing those shortened Gauntlet runs is pretty much a cakewalk. New options and higher 7* stats let you roll over a lot of it, especially since exiting early puts a lot less stress on your team building needing to cover so many options. Plus, unlike Ordeal, there’s no 7* gating so you can just Herc it if you really want or use any of the other busted 6*s like Kate.

    Tech : Every 10 hits, your power is stolen unless you remove their armour

    Mutant: Every crit you deal Increases Combat power rate by 1%. Also gains increased attack rating for specials(Can be ignored completely.jusr don't get hit by specials)

    Skil: Your offensive abilities (Things that happen when you hit them) have 100% AAR,. Your specials will work fine. (Aka, Use onslaught,)

    Science: Each opponent has a special Node

    Mystic: Every 10 buffs you trigger will result in a fate seal. (Willpower healing)

    Cosmic: If you don't nullify a buff every 30 seconds, they will gain an unstoppable buff.

    Symbiote supreme is god vs cosmics.
    Mags was most boring but he soloed most of them.
    Knull and spiders path is half.
    Mutant run would be cheeze with 7*s.
    Carina challangers you want to be running big shang as you main void for the tricky fights and falcon for collector.

    Don't forget that one stupid section between The champion and red skull. People tend to forget it doing it with carina challanges.
