Colossus not getting buff from heavy

It’s not the first time it’s happened. Last times it happened was in event quest so I wasn’t sure about node or against the champs it happened to maybe it was nullified.
This time nope. It’s just broke.
Arena fight against black panther
Heavy would not trigger buff.
All others worked I used heavy attack till,special three. Then those buffs fired correctly.
Is this known or am I missing something in the mechanics,
