3rd R5 - Venom The Duck or Corvus?

Hi everyone,

Having a real tough time determing my third 5/65 - either VTD (awakened at sig 100) or Corvus (unawakened). My other two r5s are CapIW and Omega Red (both very high sigs). I’m Cavalier, don’t have a big interest in going 6.2 yet. My goals are to 100% monthly EQs, do Variants, and a potential LOL run (I can also r5 Aegon, but leaning against it at this stage). Other members of my starting 5 is a r4 Blade (synergy w VTD).

I play for fun and am fortunate to have been in a very fun, supportive alliance for at least several years. I’ve seen benefits of both champs all over the place. To be honest, my gut says VTD.

But figured I’d go for one more place before I take the plunge. Appreciate the time and thanks for your comments.

    I'd say corvus is a better r5 option than vtd. Not saying vtd is bad but that's my opinion, he just has more damage and more utility especially for short bursty fights. As for longer match ups vtd is far better. But since you're not going for lol right now(if you want to then aegon is simply the best,vtd isn't even close) I'd say corvus would do you better.

    VTD much better for variant 2.
    Corvus is better for EQ.

    Corvus is great. But does he need the extra power at rank5?? He’s so good when he gets he’s charged he pretty much smashes everything

    Thanks for all the comments and tips. It’s funny. I watched a bunch of r5 VTD and Corvus videos with my daughter. She looked at me and said ‘Who do you have more fun playing?’ This game is supposed to be fun. My CapIW and OR put in a ton of work - and I think r4 Corvus with his missions is a beast. The freaky duck is just flat out fun to play, and I think will be better for Variants. happy hunting everyone, and thanks again.
