Is R5 Sentinel very helpful for 100% Variant 3?

I currently have

Warlock R5 Duped
Ghost 6 star R2
Sentinel R4 Duped

What Im asking is, will it be worth taking my Sentinel to R5 before a variant 3 exploration run? Or just do it while he's at R4?
