finished the xl varient and got a 3-4 mutant gem and also got this guy

any tips on how to play him?

    He's really good with the Champion Synergy. Throw Heimdall and the Healing one too and you're set. Lots of damage potential. It's high risk high reward. Everytime you're struck when at I believe 20% HP you gain 100% damage, up to 1000%. Pair it up with the Healing and you gave a strong attacker. He's mostly for defense but it's a viable strategy for some content.

    If you have torch, he’s helpful to thing because of the synergy where over supplied rock stacks get turned into fury buffs. Just parry then 2 mediums and repeat with synergy.

    Basically you want to cycle parrys to get to at least 15 rock stacks, then throw specials, so you can get the furies. The champion synergy let’s you survive a ko and get huge attack boosts, but you have to be a bit careful to not die when indestructible runs out (which heimdall’s synergy helps with). He’s definitely not a crazy damage attacker but he’s got absurd defenses and a lot of immunity
