Rift chronometer

Does anyone know if it possible to first scout a rift using 500 intel and if the item you want is in it you can then buy the chronometer in the store and use in the same quest? Or do you enter the rift with certain resources and does this not change while in the rift?

    As far as i'm aware you can buy the chronometer after entering a rift. Just be careful that you don't 'exit' the rift (quit the quest).

    You can buy the meter first and not use it in the quest. Just enter and if what you want isn't there, just run through it from the random portal.

    Yes, kabam already confirmed that you can enter, see if it has what you want and you can leave, not exit, and buy the chrono and use it. Just leave like any other quest and return, just don't quit or use the exit door.
