6* Kingpin

So I got a 6* Kingpin earlier and I was bummed I'm sure I know his abilities like to shrug off debuffs and stuff like that but is there anymore utility he may be able to offer me?

In my opinion no. Kingpin is a great champion as a 3 or 4, but 5 or 6? Not for me. But his special move does some good damage

    Unstoppable Heavy, good for Aegis.

What...? What kind of advice is that lmao.

OP, if you need to ask how good a 6* kingpin is, then you're probably still at a stage of progression where he isn't exactly terrible.
What do you mean? I'm using him in T6, and he means getting Heavies off everytime. It means you get Aegis down faster and don't have to worry about it. Considering you've just assessed that the OP isn't at the stage where they need to worry about it, what makes it bad advice? Are people really that set in their ways when it comes to Champion choices?

His L1 black iso debuff has good ability accuracy reduction.

His damage output is very average. His debuff shrug is ok maybe in early content, not in late act 5 and on. His SP1 does lower evade by almost 50%, but that’s only worth it if you have no other options.

That's a little unfair. His SP1 lowers all ability accuracy by 45%, which is very useful for opponents with Glancing, Arc Overload, etc. And no-one in the contest is immune to it. It also lowers the opponent's Attack by 45%, which is frequently overlooked.

@Nick1109, he's got Utility, but it's a bit niche is all.

He's not going to be your go-to for everything, but he's way better than a lot of the really rubbish champs in the 6* crystal. So feel okay about him, even if you didn't win the lottery (because he's not that good - just more useable than people think!)

You can easily ramp up his damage if you seek opponents and situations that inflict debuffs. Clare Voyant, Silver Surfer, various Doombots and Sentinels all inflict debuffs when you hit them, or when they charge a Heavy. Bait a couple of Heavy attacks, and Kingpin turns CV into paste.

Can't stop, won't stop nodes? KP's Heavy spam works a treat; and you can use SP2 for a longer Unstoppable, as well.

    Annihilus giving you trouble?

Just hold block with Kingpin, and you'll be at SP1 before you know it (don't forget, his Power Gain ramps up with debuffs, too), with a massive damage boost and Unblockable Specials. Seriously, I see people complain about Annihilus as a defender all the time, and think to myself 'Why? Just use Kingpin!'

I'm going to stop there because I don't want to oversell him - he's got niche utility; he's not a God. But there are more tips on this thread, if you want them: https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/comment/1182131/#Comment_1182131
