Rankup Gem Crystals for Old Champs in Variant Quest Reward (Make it Basic Rank up)

If you're going to give out the 2015 or 2016 or any 20xx rank-up gems - can you please make this a Basic rank-up gem, instead of a class specific rank-up gem?

In completing variant 2 to 4, I have received 3 cosmic gems. I used one on Hyperion. Venom was already rank 5. Now, got 2 gems that is of no use (unless they buff these old cosmic champs).
Now with Variant 1, no desire to do anymore as I will probably get more cosmic gems. I only want the basic Rank5 gem reward on exploration, but not worth the effort to fully explore anymore.

I dont think it will break the game if you give us basic-rank up gem for OLD champions.

    Yup what a waste. Complete content and wait years till those trash get buffed. To use them. I'd take 1 basis r4 gem instead of 3 year based gems

    It would be unfair for everyone who has done it already.
    It's better not to change them. If something, is a suggestion for future Variant quests, but not to change the current existing ones

    Yes for future contents, not existing content. Hope they make it basic in the next variant and in any other future contents
