Sooo war is broken, now what?

TBH this new war defender diversity thing sounded like a good idea, but now that its here and we are entering week 3, i think its time to address the elephant in the room.
AW was the most fun part of the game for me, and now I find myslef barley checking in, or watching our defense wreck havoc on the other team. I get the diversity thing, kind of, but you cant even have 1 of the same champ in the entire war?? I mean come on, not only that, 4* and 5* are diff champs, if i place a 4* magik and 5* magik that counts as the same champ, that makes no sense.

I could go on and on about what doesnt make sense about this new AW, but sigh, I dont even have the energy.
I think i speak for A LOT of people when i say that Kabam has got to come up with something fast. I find myself barley playing the game any more, if it werent for AQ i would probably have to be reminded on Line to log in.

Kabam please do something about AW, as it no longer requires skill, the competetiveness has been sucked dry. I am on the verge of leaving my alliance tbh, its no longer fun and AQ has become a chore. AW was the only part of the game that kept me going. Its so sad honestly cause this game has soooo much potential.

:(

There's definitely about to be huge shakeups in alliances due to people refusing to stop bringing in champs they spent time and money on. This isn't a good business model

Kabam has struck gold on the new AW model. The prior model was predicated on have a few key r4 champions that could prevent road blocks to success. Then you have a few specialists with specific champs to take out the few key champs other alliances had. Do you have that r4 duped AA? Ok good you are the magik killer. Do you have an r4 Magik, good put on MD5 and you are the boss. Now it is more complicated, do you set strong defense or do you go for diversity? Either way, it is going to be 95% to 97%, then do you want to spend? See this is the success of Kabam, now instead of one team spending they have created a system where both teams will spend. However, most of the people complaining are probably from the one side that spent and lost. I would rather fight 7 nodes and lose, then fight 1 BS node and feel like well might as well give up, didn't play that perfectly enough.

There is no choice though. It's diversity or GTFO. The nodes are too easy to allow the option of "hard defense to stop boss kills".

Everyone says the nodes are too easy....so kabam is going to ramp up difficulty.

Better than playing a marvel trading card game and losing because I don't have Howard and Karnak cards yet

Let's just think about the end result. The old war system most alliances won about half the time. The new model you are going to win - wait for it - about half the time!

Are you seriously complaining about how the process works to get the rewards?? The game developers just made the war easier for you to get the same prizes and you are whining because it is unsatisfying to win?? Gimme a break

Honestly, I'm a little happy to not be facing the exact same opponents every single war. "I'm on this node, means I'm facing Magik." AW really was getting boring. The scoring will need to be adjusted to make defender kills relevant; but this is a move in the right direction.

I agree with the OP, our player activity is down, wars just aren't fun. They claimed the war map was almost twice as large....but in truth...all that was done to make the map 'larger' was to add teleport nodes, which just suck energy and somehow are the deciding factor in 'MVP' ???

    Make wars great again...

Misterniceguy...aka spider Gwen....it's not about the rewards...it's about the battle...War was fun because it was hard...if you won against a good alliance it made the game fun...I didn't care if I fought 4 Magiks, setting up a defense, fighting to get thru the opponents defense to take down their boss..that's the fun of the game.
Now it's boring, everyone completes the maps. What's fun about beating something you know you can beat.
Only bad players enjoy these new war maps
