Doom status in the game

So I pulled a 5 Star Doom and I was super excited. I took him to Rank 4 and after a couple RoL Winter Soldier takedowns, I must admit I was disappointed- about 250 hits to take him down - far more that my Rank 4 Hulkbuster.

Am I missing something with his damage?
Get to Sp 3
Make sure opponent is almost max power
M, M, L, L, L, M, M
Sp 1
Sp 2
Rinse and repeat

It’s hard to get double fury without synergies but still... I expected more.

Anyone have a Rank 5 Doom? How long does it take down RoL Winter Soldier?

All tips and techniques qppreciated.

he's the best mystic in the game. ROL is not where he shines. His power control and utility make him amazing. His damage is very, very good, but not insane like ghost.

You don't rank up Doom for his damage. You rank him up for his insane power control abilities, his shock and armor break immunity, his tankiness, damage comes after. A 4 star doom helped me so much during my V5 completion run.

I don’t know nor do I care how high Doom is rated in whomever’s tier list is being used at the moment. My rank 5 Doom has helped me get through plenty of content, his power control and damage potential is really great & maybe most important thing of all to mention is that I’m having a lot of fun using him.

I haven’t tried him against our favorite punching bag, but I did take him with me for completion run of the Abyss and for certain fights he was just really awesome........at least imo 😉

Personally, I don’t think getting double fury with him is hard at all if you can get a reparry in and if you’re not getting the double fury then that explains why you’re not maximizing his damage which is insanely underrated due to all his utility. At r4 I was beating WS in like 150-160 hits if I remember correctly.

He’s top 10 in game, I have him either 6 or 7 on my rankings (though the fact I run suicides has some influence) for his damage you want to get 2 furies before going to sp2 in a longer fight, that’s where the giant damage is, mine has nearly 3k incinerate ticks PER STACK with a double fury rotation sp2

What do you mean it's hard to get double furies, it's the easiest thing he can do!!
Your not using him correctly, I suggest you watch unofficial kabam Mike's video on doom and polish up your noobish doom playstyle.

I dont go into any quest without doom on my team! Hes an absolute beast and easily one of the best champs

I can normally get him down in around 2 cycles with my 5/65 doom, but his damage isn’t his best feature, he has insane power control and utility as well plus crazy sustainability good prestige and is a good defender, that is why he is top 5

Use him in V5 against final Venom, and let me know your opinion after.

fyi, testing champs and basing them off RoL Winter Soldier is stupid as well.

P.S. Rotation is as follows - MLM LLLMM L1, then hold block. Eat a blocked hit then reparry the next, MLLLH, L3 MLM LLLMM L1 L2 opponent dead.
If you suck at reparry just do Parry MM. Parry MLLLH L3. This is a bit more risky since opponent may throw their special attack and you won't be able to complete the rotation.

Dr. Doom is the hero we need to save us from Apocalypse. He gets a lot of hate because his name is Doom and he is always trying to kill everybody, but deep down he is a really good guy.

My R5 need around 70 hits for overall later act 6, let's consider something about 250k/300k. The best is because after first sp3 you take the control of the fight at least until your sp2 with 2 furies and usually is the end for opponent

He is right up there and you can get more damage if you spam the sp3 repeatedly and if it gets difficult to do so then get a sp2 off and damage is insane

On my list, he's #6 behind Quake, Ghost, Ægon, Omega, and Nick. They just have more utility imo.
