Possible way to finally fix attacker kills?

In my alliance's most recent war, we came up against an alliance that placed 145 defenders whereas we placed 150. We cleared all 145, giving us 7250 points. They couldn't beat 3 defenders, (they got 147 attacker kills) which gave them 7350 points.
Even though we beat every defender put in front of us, they still managed to get more points despite leaving 3 of our defenders alive. This situation isn't an extreme, but it can still be exploited. How about this system as the new attacker kills:
Attacker kills are replaced with a system that rewards alliances for clearing the defenders put in front of them.
Y= M*(150-X)
'Y' is the score an alliance would get;
'X' is the amount of opponent's defenders left alive;
'M' is the chosen value of an attacker kill (currently, it's 50 points but it can be adjusted as you wish).
If we use the example above, these are the scores with the suggested system:
Alliance A (145 kills out of 145 defenders): 50*(150-0) = 7500 points
Alliance B (147 kills out of 150 defenders): 50*(150-3) = 7350 points
