Corvus as an Abyss main

Hi guys, I am debating trying the abyss.
I think I want to make a personal path, probably start with Darkhawk and work my way to the easy path from there, so I can skip Mephisto.
I do not have a 5* ageon nor do I have a Torch.
I do have both Doom and Nick Fury as 5/65. And I am pretty skilled with my Corvus. And I want to give it a shot with him.
I am trying to figure out what counters I will find along the way. I might probably take Doom and Nick with me.
Are there any counters I should also consider?
I have:
Omega, Sabretooth, Domino, Warlock, Thing, Cap IW, Claire, Nebula, Venom at 5/65
Sym sup, Rulk, Darkhawk, Elsa at 4/55
4* Max Aegon.
I might take Proxima for the evade charge with Corvus. If I can spare the spot.
I normally do not run MD, but can activate it up to rank 3. And I normally run suicide masteries.
I have roughly 10k units. And will be farming revives and potions beforehand.

But I'm not sure if Corvus could be good main damage dealer. If you are willing to throw lot of units it sure could be done but if I were you I'd look around to lvl up some other damage dealer.
Also if you want to go through Darkhawk and avoid Meph, only path you have left is through OML which requires Heal Block/Reversal and Havok which requires counter too (even though his detonation doesn't deal too much damage).
@ScottCHarbach1 noted. Would exploring act 6 be a better option to aquire my first t5cc? My highest is at 55%, the others below 20%
I don't really care if it takes all 10k units or if it takes 8 hours.
I only care about it being possible. Or if I will find a road block.

I was planning to avoid Mepthisto because I do not have a proper incinerate immune (best option might be RULK, who isn`t fully immune)
Taking your team as an example. What if I switch Void With Magneto and do the Darkhawk Path, with Oldman, And use magneto for darkhawk and oldman.
The only problem I see is Havok. But I might be missing something.
Would you guys consider Sym Supreme r4 better than my 6*r2 Doom?
So my team would be:
Sabretooth 5/65
Sasquatch 5/50
Corvus 5/65
Magneto 4/55 (will rank him up to 5/65)
Sym Supreme 4/55 or Doom 6r2
All duped except Doom.
As for taking the darkhawk path, I think you would be fine. If you could reach your first SP3 with Sabretooth before Havok kills you, you’ll be fine, but that’s a big if. I haven’t done that path so it might be best to consult someone else
If your Doom is R2, take him over Sym supreme. I’m not sure what makes doom better than Sym for abyss, but yours is already ranked, and those additional skirmish and warfare charges will be important
And I might just unitman Havok if it is needed.

And many more...with Proxima synergy he is second or third best after Aegon against the collector.
After Aegon eighter he is the best option against abyss collector or Ghost trinity, I have done both and it almost the same level,.
