Another Abyss Prep Thread..

Hey all,

I have recently completed an initial run through of LOL and Act 6, so my attention has now turned to an initial run of Abyss to get my first R3 (if the RNG gods comply)..

I plan to do this post Cyber Weekend as I should have a healthy stash of units if things don't go to plan.

My two questions are as follows for when I tackle it:

- I will have Aegon 5r5 sig200, Doom 5r5 sig 140, 6r2 Torch, 5r5 sig20 Nick Fury. Who should be my 5th from the options below?
- 6r1 Heimdall (to save on revives), 6r1 DPX (for Fury heal), 5* Antman (for evade charges), 5r5 sig 140 Warlock, 6r2 g2099, 5r5 sig 80 Sorcerer Supreme, 6r1 CAIW, or if you have any other honorable mentions?
- Suicides / No Suicides?

Thanks in advance!

I also have an 5r5 sig 70 Elsa if she at all fits into Abyss for raw dmg.

I'll likely start on the easy path starting with Thing and ending with IW, as Thing looks a good opportunity to ramp Aegon up, however I'm open to suggestions if my roster lends itself better to another path.

I took Quake as my fifth for the evade charges (your Ant-Man), and I found that to be a complete waste. I would go with Heimdall out of the options you mentioned, as I didn't run suicides so I don't know if that DPX with suicides is worth it. Maybe Void if you have him maxed out.

Do you have a Symbiote Supreme? I would honestly go with Symbiote Supreme if you have him. VtD was an absolute PITA with Doom (not managing the fight, that was easy. Just the damage output). If not, Doom obviously still gets the job done.

If you are doing the easy path definitely take Heimdall as your 5th. He will allow you to get a ton of extra damage with Aegon at the end of every life.

Unfortunately I have neither Sym Sup or Void. I think I'll likely take Heimdall as it seems like Aegon is going to be the main work horse for an initial run.

LOL took me around 320 units in total so hoping 3-4k is enough for an initial run on Abyss!

    Thanks for the response.

Thanks - I think I will take Heimdall just to allow me to get some furied combos off from Aegon when I inevitably get caught.

I'm in the same situation as you, so I'll share the knowledge I've gathered for my run. Take in heimdall, and save 5k units as a safety net. The others should be good for the run. There's no need to use potions till you're at the collector. Max out courage

I used the same team. My 5th spot was quake for evade charges and, at least for me, were pretty useful (specially against collector). I took easy path and used 104 revives. Worst fights were cyclops and collector for me (20 revives each fight), then IMIW and IW (10 revives)

I used suicides for aegon ramp up, I changed masteries when I fight mephisto using that set up for the rest of the quest
