Worse than usual connection issues

A couple others and I have been having connection issues tonight. I noticed about an hour ago while I was doing incursions. Then, my alliance mate mentioned they were on the same screen for 30 min. Anyone else?
Tried restarting the game thrice. Same results.

    I have the spinning wheel and flashing red thing at the opening screen.

    Can't even get past it
