Alliance Gifting Event makes no sense to me

So I sent some gifts to the people in my alliance, it said I had contributed 6000 points but needed to contribute 6600 to qualify. So I sent some more, and now it says I contributed 10,350 but I need to contribute 11,660 to be eligible. So am I just chasing my tail here?

    Well yeah, because each milestone needs higher points to qualify for each reward

    Ok, so I was just at like10,300 and it said I needed like 11,600. So I gave a couple more gifts to get up to 11,690. I didn’t unlock or collect another reward, but it still raised my minimum up to 15,000. Every time I gain the minimum points it says, it just raises my minimum whether I collect a reward or not. I re-read the announcement and this isn’t making sense. I hope I didn’t screw my alliance teammates by making it harder for them to gain rewards too.

    This is to prevent someone from getting all the milestones but not contributing much to the gifting event. Say your alliance hit 350k but all you put in is 1k points, you’re not going to get the milestones up to 350k.

    i think it might be because your alliance just hasn't reached there if you're not getting any new rewards

    Thanks everyone! I think I understand now. Our alliance is up to the 5th milestone, but I’ve earned enough points to clear milestone 10 so far (milestone 11 says I need 15,000 points). So if I didn’t earn another point, but the alliance achieves milestone 10, I should earn the rewards. But if we achieve milestone 11, I would not earn those points until I earn 15,000 points. I appreciate everyone’s help!!

    Still not I am eligible to get ally reward have to wait 2 days to eligible but I gifted 1800 units worth may I get all rewards after that eligible days right

    I think (the way I understand the rules) that your points won’t count until you’ve been in your alliance for 14 days. So wait until then to send gifts.
