Has Kabam gone way too ahead with Mephisto abilities to make him a AW unit grab?

Mephisto to me seems hyperly overpowered as a champ with no effective counter except Iceman. Do you think Kabam has gone overboard with his abilities? Will a 15-20K 58 4/55 Mephisto in AW be defeated with his own passive power gain, MD and other masteries thrown in?

    It shuld be posbel But it hard. Need to pover luck him. And when he proz. He. Aura stay away to you at the counter and Yeah we dies so No counter in this. Lol. He wuld be to hard to be.

    I have never fought a Mephisto in AW, but I can imagine him being extremely difficult to kill because of MD. While Mephisto in other areas can be countered by evading away when he has his aura active, doing so in AW is just going to feed him power and kill you eventually through his L3.

    Even if that's not the problem because you have Iceman, you still need to kill him in one or two fights as he has souls that will regen him, and it is even more severe if he is on a healing enhanced node. You also can't die, because dying will make him regen more health.

    He seems like one of the most menacing champions I have ever seen. Many nodes are able to further make him more dangerous, like power gain, stun immune and kinetic reactor. I can secretly guarantee to myself that if I face him, I'm most likely going to die without doing much damage to him.

    But that's just my guess. As I said, I haven't even fought him in AW yet, but I have a good feeling I won't do too well against him.

    At least he won't have MD to worry about when he's AQ season 5 boss in a few months

    My personal theory is that as time comes where these "challanges" have long passsed, more players have Mephisto, and 6*'s are acquired, 1 of 2 things will most likely take place if not both.
    #1 Mephisto will be nerfed to align more with "diversity" as to not have a second coming of the so called "mystic wars",
    #2 an array of new champs introduced will pave way with new abilities that help against Mephistos current new abilities(maybe adrenaline might be the counter).

    Both scenarios are not positive changes in my opinion, with #2 being more less appealing because that would add more fuel to the fire on the idea of our current 4* and some 5* champs becoming obsolete in the near future.

    Passive power gain and regen,aura of inceneration,both act as offensive and defensive ability, he'll become a AW cash grab for sure! They throw away the "god tier" title with 12.0 update saying that it wasn't supposed to be that way, they're not supposed to be that strong then nerfed them. So is this a repeat? Letting us invest to get this new "god tiers" and nerf them in the future?

    He’s beatable with the right champs. I don’t think he will be nerfed imo.

    I'm sure one of the new champs being introduced next month will have a counter against Meph. Need a way to force people to buy crystals and/or grind arena.
