Being able to select specific rank up gems vs default

I have a 2017 rankup gem that I would prefer to use on KP, but it won’t allow me to use it, instead it wants me to use my skill which isn’t limited by year and can be used on any skill champ, any work around?

    @Psychaman this is a known bug and mods have acknowledged on the forum. For now, there is a work-around:

    - Contact Kabam support using in-game interface (gear icon in upper left corner) and submit an email stating you wish to use 2017 gem vs Skill gem
    - Wait for them to respond and they6 will tell you to use the Skill gem and email them back
    - Once you email them back, they will manually return the Skill gem and take the 2017 gem instead

    I've done this 3-4 times - a bit clumsy but it works!

    Thanks, I will follow your advice and yes this known bug should be addressed for all!
