Iceman: Is he good?

Hi guys, this morning, I just completed the heroic quest, all 3 chapters of the quest that replaced Odin's gauntlet. In addition to completing the quest, I was also awarded an ultimate crystal, along with the lots of other goodies of quest completion rewards. Later, I popped open the ultimate, and got a 4* Iceman. I was hoping for a mutant champ (which he is), and was deciding on whether or not to add him to my main team. I don't have a mutant champ on my main team yet. The main question is, is he worth the rank up?

    Yes. Iceman is really good. His sp1 is great for evade once he applies the coldsnap. Basic hits have a chance to apply frostbite. Hit him with a heavy when they've got a few on and you'll do some good damage. I don't use his sp2 much, but it can do some good damage if you've got your ice armor buff up. It does use the ice armor buff though. If you do lose it you can either wait for it to come back or use an sp3 to refresh it. Plus he's got 3 immunities

    Iceman is definitely worth ranking up. With his immunities, ice armour, and cold snap he has some nice utility. His damage is pretty good as well, not insane like some other mutants, but he can still get the job done. He’s an overall great champ, he’s just overshadowed by so many of the new and buffed mutants.

    Can tank sp3 with ice armour, immunities and good evade counter. His damage is lacking which is why he gets looked over for other champs who has what he can do plus the damage.

    Yeah he's really fun to play with especially with his coldsnap, and when the coldsnap expires, it does 850 dmg+

    He’s lost quite a lot of value since his release, but he’s still very solid, triple immune, evade counter, can take sp3 etc, he’s still good for a lot of stuff, just not really the best for anything anymore

    He was my first r5 5* champ. I don't think I'll ever regret bringing him up. He definitely helped me clear a lot of content back in the day. But um, at least where I'm at atm, I just don't use him much anymore. I have plenty of other champs with the same immunities and his damage is definitely outdated. It's not the worst thing I've ever seen but compared to my other r5 level champs it's just not great. I wish I could say I used him more than I actually do but that'd just be lying. All that said, considering your current level in the game, I do think it's worth it. By the time you would get to the content where he's more obsolete, you'd probably have a full team of 5*s. Plus, with the release of the heroes variant and 7.2, I may even start using mine more again.

    He's great early game, he was one of my first 3*s and saw a lot of use until I was able to get a full 4* team

    He is not a hard hitter but more like a utility champ. I have him as 5* and he always get use for some nodes since hard hitters are not always the answer. You cannot go wrong with this.

    Utility-wise he is pretty decent. But his damage output should be tuned up a little bit.

    BTW, let’s resume our long-term debate here: why isn’t ice-man immune to ColdSnap! 😏😏😏😏😏

    I ranked 4 iceman as well as venom and captain marvel!
