I mean, they may have meant “essentially free to play”, or that they aren’t ever planning on paying in the future.
I consider myself free to play, but I did spend 10$ on the game for two of the Peter Parker’s wallets, but that was like 3 and 5 years ago. It had such a minuscule impact on my account and I never plan on paying again, so I consider myself free to play.
Some people do use the term incorrectly though, like I’ve seen someone say they are free to play because they only buy the occasional offer or spend less than $50 a year or something, which makes less sense...
