Announcing Event Quest: Gods of the Arena

TIME TO SHINE
The Grandmaster is stepping up his game, Summoner. All are invited to compete in what might be the greatest contest yet! Fight your way to the top and you shall be rewarded greatly. It may b e difficult, but you’re in luck! Thor is looking for someone strong enough to fight alongside him and you’re just the pal he’s looking for. Work together to bash down any foes in your path, but be prepared for some new challenges and perhaps trickey along the way.

FIGHT TO THE DEATH
Thor may be without his trusty Mjölnir, but equipped with new armor and weapons he still proves to be a challenging foe. Gladiator Thor can dish out quite a beating and can become more powerful the better he fights. Keeping a high combo is key in unlocking his strengths and winning over the crowd.

Also entering The Contest is Hela. Fueled by death and destruction, The Battlerealm proves to be a place where she can grow her power immensely. As she controls the spirits of the dead, she gains fury buffs that last as long as she can maintain control of the dead.

Rewards Update
We’ve updated the Heroic and Master difficulty rewards for the Event Quests. A more detailed look at these rewards is below, but here is a quick overview of the changes.

HEROIC
Completion Rewards:
- Added 10x Tier 4 Class Catalyst Fragment Crystals

MASTER
Completion Rewards:
- Moved 1500x 3-Star Crystal Shards from Quest Mastery to Completion. You’ll now get 3000x 3-Star Crystal Shards for completing the quest.
- Increased the total amount of Tier 4 Class Catalyst Fragment Crystals rewarded to 21.
- Added 19000x Tier 4 Basic Catalyst Fragment.
Mastery Rewards:
- Increased the total amount of Tier 4 Class Catalyst Fragment Crystals rewarded to 24.
- Added 9000x Tier 4 Basic Catalyst Fragment.

Master Key

The Master Key is the item required to unlock Master difficulty. Usually only obtainable by mastering Heroic difficulty, the key will now be for sale in the store for Uncollected Summoners. This shortcut allows Summoners to save the energy of playing through Heroic and immediately access Master difficulty. The key will be available for 300x Units.

Energy Changes

The Energy costs for Master difficulty has been reduced as well. Chapter 1 is now only 1 Energy per tile. This has been reduced from the usual 2 Energy per tile.

Q&A

How long does this quest run for?
This quest will be starting on the 1st of November at ~10:00AM PDT and will run until December 6th at 10:00AM PDT. Those attempting Legends runs will have until November 15th to 100% explore both Heroic and Master difficulties.

You must update to the new 16.0 Release to be able to see and participate in this quest. The update will be available Wednesday, November 1st.

Are these reward/energy changes permanent?

Yes! Aside from Valor which is only around for the event, the increase to rewards is permanent and so is the energy reduction.

I can’t see some of the rewards under “View Rewards” Are they missing?

No, they’re there! Currently we can’t fit all the rewards in the preview and this Event quest has a lot more items than usual. So on Master Difficulty in particular, a few of the rewards won’t be visible when you preview the quest. You will still get them however.

How do I get the Legends title associated with Master Difficulty?
The Legends title and rewards will be given to the 100 players who 100% explore HEROIC AND MASTER difficulties in Gods of the Arena the fastest. Just like recent Event Quests, this quest will take advantage of the Time Attack system we’ve put in place for our Monthly Quest Legends Program. This means that the players that completely explore Heroic and Master difficulty the fastest within the first 2 weeks of the event being live will win the title. Summoners that choose to purchase the Master Key will have the ability to compete the Master Difficulty first, but must still complete the Heroic Difficulty as well to qualify for the Legends Title.

Interesting idea with the key. Personally, I don't see why everyone is so upset about this because it literally changes nothing. You still have to beat heroic to get the rewards and to leave 5-star shards on the table would just be an unintelligent move, so complainers that are demanding compensation, save us the headache and time of having to read through your nonsense and stop. Also, because hulk isn't coming out this month doesn't mean he is off the table. Kabam suggested they were releasing another science champion before 2018 and they have done multiple weeks around the same movie, such as spiderman movie with Carnage through Doc Oc.

and if your increasing T4 Generic shards by 9,000 in Heroic how is it you get a full T4 Generic crystal when last quest was 18,000 shards.

My guess legend runs on the 15th at 10am pst which is 1pm est and trying to do it on the last day where both master and heroic needs completing you would have to spend on refills. If i were you i wait for next month if you do manage to beat both on the last day it may look suspicious
