My thoughts on the SOP as it comes to a close

Now kabam teased this as a challenge unlike no other, with insane fights and even more insane rewards. The summer of pain has been an extremely fun challenge for me, well as fun as seeing acid wash mysterio was. The challenge was great as most fights could be countered with multiple champs. These champs didn’t have to be god tier for example the hydra adaptoid being countered by og cap and cap ww2. This meant that new cav players or thronebreakers could find a counter to a fight. This wasn’t always the case but it was on most fights. The other great thing is a fight being released each week. This gave players the time to figure out counters and try multiple times to get that sweet sweet SOP solo. The final things I found amazing was the difficulty coming from hard nodes and character restrictions and not millions of health. This made it unlike abyss where the main difficulty came from having to use revs unless u had perfect counters and the fight being hard as it’s a test ofhow long can u endure a fight for, not how good u r at the game. The rewards was the last thing I wanted to talk about. The rewards are some of the best things I’ve seen in this game and can be accessed by a F2P like myself without having to grind thousands of units or just whaling out on deals. The fact there’s a 6* class nexus aswell means instead of getting loads of 6* shards and getting shafted on most crystals, most players have a chance to look for a champ they rlly want.

So to finish off I think that this event was great and I hope that kabam think about doing something like this again in the future (unless that symbiote supreme from week 7 comes back because I hate him with a passion. Thanks kabam you’ve done rlly well creating the SOP!

I liked it. Will take two champs to r3 next week, so that’s exciting.

This is was a really fun and engaging event bringing the entire community together and discuss all the solution, tips and tricks to take the bosses down.
On top of it, it had crazy good rewards.
Im gonna miss sop because i was actually looking forward to the next fight every week and prepping myself for it, scared but excited to see whos gonna be the next boss.
I honestly dont know what i'll do after sop ends, probably the carina's challenges as they're gonna be there for me after this.

The community engagement was amazing. I remember on the hydra adaptoid sitting in discord and talking to my alliance on how to beat it. I completely agree This was a great way to bring everyone together. However I don’t think this’ll be the last we see of this kind of content so I’m hyped if something like SOP comes back

Yeah, I think that this is one of the best pieces of content they've ever release, despite being thrown at us with a wildly destructive bug. If the parry bug hadn't existed, I truly think that this would have been remembered as an absolute hallmark of the game's history. It probably still will, but the bug really did throw some shade over the event/summer in general.

Still, I look forward to the next iteration already. This was so much fun.

Couldn't agree more guys, this event was one of the best Kabam has ever released.
It is very unfortunate that it came out at the time when we are having some issues in the game itself, but this event was excellent and I do hope some iteration of it comes even sooner than next summer.
    Maybe Winter of Struggle?
I wouldn't mind Autumn of Despair either

Absolutely, as a CAV player i enjoyed it thoroughly. It makes me want to progress to thronebreaker! (only completed up to 6.2.6) so i can get access to objective like things soon!

Kabam did a great job, i really like the week to week thing. Keep stuff fresh.

Parry bug hurt yes, but i still enjoyed the content and more one off things like this would be nice!
