Modok dashes back and hits you mid combo

Interesting thing i encountered while fighting modok, I'm sure people have experienced this already but this was a first time for me.

I was exploring V1 quest 2.2 where you encounter a modok on masochism and cornered, now the unique thing about him is he will evade you mid combo and then light attack you into oblivion.
I didn't know that after auto blocking he can do that while I'm still finishing my combo.

    The op clearly doesn't know the game mechanics and that auto block is just a block, how did you fight every modok till now. You can't combo into block.

    Something similar to what happened with hector happened to me while i was using Sentinel and building analysis charges but hitting his block 3 times MLL and dashing back immediately.
    Hope this clears things up.

    MODOk is messed up since the update too. He randomly dips halfway into the ground while fighting. VERY distracting. >:/

    MODOK has done this for years. At least, fighting him on Android, he has.

    @H3neRy if he regains his Autoblock charge midway through your combo, he can Autoblock and counter, much like Nightcrawler Evades and counters.

    The answer (if you can't use or don't have Magneto or Angela) is to try and keep a sense of when he's going to get his Autoblock charge back, and stick to short combos at the time.

    That's how all autoblocks work it just happens that people notice it most on modok because a) he triggers autoblock most often and b) theres no timer so you never know exactly when it's going to come back up. Even medusa and peni are capable of dashing back after autoblocking and punishing but you don't notice it nearly as often because they autoblock maybe a quarter as often as modok does and there's a set time you can watch for to either heavy or time a parry combo to counter it and not get autoblocked mid combo. This is just a theory but I also think modok's AI in general is coded to be more aggressive like venom so he may be more likely to go for the punish post autoblock than a champ like medusa

    You can reparry and dash back while the opponent is mid combo the ai can do the same

    I tend to just hit LLL into modok’s block on nodes where you can’t consistently parry him.
    His block proficiency is terrible so it’s not a bad tactic.
    For some reason he does sometimes dodge back mid combo… and I’m not talking about his autoblock mechanic, I’m talking about when hitting into him when his block is already up.

    I've experienced this many times with Modok where he cn punish u if u hit his block & it's an autoblock
    He just dashes back & hits u while u're still recovering from the last hit
    So now I only hit his block when his shield his down or he's close to the wall so that he can't dash back
    Heimdal sometimes also does this after his autoblock but his animations aren't as fast so u cn usually get out of the way
    I think I've experienced this once or twice with Medusa as well in AQ
    But it's most common with Modok

    Medusa can trigger parry, so people are more careful with her. I can't say that about peni since I have not read through her abilities that closely. I usually just back out after any autoblock when fighting AI ever since I experienced MODOK backing out.

    It has always been in the kit, of the auto blocking to my knowledge, if it was a bug, it would be fixed way earlier, when the fist auto block champ was released, you can't continue to hit into his block is what I suggest, if you get auto blocked then dash back or he can dash back and intercept you. Also, @H3neRy sry if I came out as rude.
