Grandmaster crash / HP penalty?

In all other modes of gameplay, I’m accustomed to a 50% HP penalty for a game crash or disconnect.

Twice while fighting the grandmaster, I came back and I was at 5% health instead of 35ish% (half my starting health). Did I miss a note about this somewhere?

    I call that crashing the game. Force closing the app. Whatever.

    And it’s not 50% of health at the moment because it was the same number twice and I’m pretty sure it corresponded to 5% hp.

    I don’t know if people are hitting disagree because they don’t understand your sarcasm or what. It’s weird to me that this is the only game mode where this is a thing. I guess you take the L in arena, but every form of quest has a 50% of existing health penalty.
    I’ve had to dip my toes into the cesspool that is arena a few times recently and had my game genuinely crash mid-fight. It restarted me as normal, prompting me to go back in immediately upon login. So it seems like they’ve been tweaking this mechanic.

    My game crashed mid arena few hour ago, and it let me redo that fight, with fight prompt on restarting. So for arena I can say it's working like before.

    Good note. Has anyone seen the 5% thing outside the grandmaster fight?

    I tested this against an EQ boss and was able to go from full health to 50-25-12.5. I had at least two grandmaster runs where I was left at 5% health. At that point, it’s cheaper to kill yourself and revive than it is to heal up.

    I’d really like an answer about this before I do more paths.

    I just finished playing the GM in sop finale and yes i experienced so many crashes, dropped inputs and missed the dex on his sp1 soooo many times although I'm dashing back at the right time, and when it crashes i get back with 1861 health points like what is this???!! I'll hold onto completion rewards only for now until they fix this game.

    It was annoying dexing the grandmaster to get the "gain a buff" token and then have it not register and you're backed into the corner.

    Had this with hype. Crashed while at full health, ended up with 5% left.
