Namor is a yes. Needs to be awakened and given sigs, but you can’t awaken someone you don’t have.

Yellowjacket is also a yes. He’s got some neat utility and decent power sting damage, unfortunately he’s on the underrated side

Unawakened Namor is really good, but he needs Awakening + max Sig to reach that Beyond God Tier level.
Yellowjacket is pretty good, very high energy resistance and a bunch of quirky utility.

Yes, I have tested namor damage.
    Its cool...

People often judge characters as solo pieces instead of judging their place in comparison to other champs in the roster
If u aren't going to use them over other champs, they aren't of any use to u currently irrespective of how good the champ is
And the only time u'll want to use Namor over other mutants is when he's at sig 200 & u need to get past some BS damage
Yellowjacket is often used as a power sting or slow champ if u don't have better options, but is almost a trash champ specially if not at sig 200 or at least very high sig

I think YJ is pretty underrated as a utility champ. Not that he’s an amazing utility champ omg everyone is overlooking him, more like, everyone has absolutely written him off as a dud, but he isn’t that bad. One thing I will say is if you’re looking for damage, don’t look to Yellowjacket, that’s not what he’s about.

He has one of the highest energy resistances in the game (think sig 160 guardian), a nice physical resistance and a high health pool too which makes him quite tanky, decent slow debuff, each nuclear charge he has increases potency of personal debuffs by 1% and reduces enemy regen rate by 1%. Couple this with despair and his petrify and he has one of the most potent heal reversals in the entire game.

I believe the potency of personal debuffs also offers itself to debuffs that YJ can trigger from nodes and incursions hacks. This can synergise well with some nodes in act 7. Feel free to correct me on that if that’s not the case though.

Incoming unblockable special attacks suffer -75% attack rating. This is actually quite big, and often overlooked. I am a spider Gwen player, and I know how valuable having the 100% chance to evade unblockable specials is, especially when they are tricky to evade. So YJ’s reduction to unblockable special attacks is actually quite cool to have, you can evade specials for the most part, but if you get hit it’s no big deal, it’ll do barely any damage.

His power stings do direct damage and nobody is immune to them (except kinda Magik, since she limbo’s the damage back). And his petrify can deal with power gain too.

Now I know Yj isn’t the best champ ever, and I’m not saying he’s worth sig 200ing just because of this. But people look at him and think he’s trash, and don’t really know the full extent of what he can do. I’m just saying he may be worth a second look. Sometimes the best options for fights are the ones that are safer, rather than ones that get the job done quickly at a higher risk.

But I know there are some players who just can’t stand champions who don’t do crazy damage, and if that’s you then YJ won’t be one for you.
