Hello Summoners, we have some new and exciting things coming your way with the release of Season 9! Our team has been working tirelessly on a brand new map that is finally coming your way. Map 8 has a few new mechanics to play around with as well as a new set of themed buffs and repurposed Mini’s and Final bosses for our other maps.

2 questions:
1) What is the defined “low health” range where a timeout will kill you?
2) What is in the map 8 crystal?

So if we’re not in the 100 or so alliances pushing the top map there’s essentially nothing new? No break up of the giant chasm of milestones that award 3400 glory? No refresh of map 1-7 crystals to bring them in line with the current meta of the game? No reason to push if we can’t reach the Top 45 to get the current endgame materials?

There’s a way to reward people at the top without ignoring everyone else. Particularly when you update this mode of the game approximately once every time the planets are aligned.

So you have a champ like Corvus that you claim is having an interaction not intended. You also have Heimdall synergy, G2099, and most recently Hercules. All these champs that have mechanics which you knew had this interaction yet you placed them in the game and let people spend time and money to get them knowing that a portion were deliberately acquiring them for that purpose. Are you going to provide any compensation?

I don’t disagree with the stance of changing the AQ rules, but I will disagree with your stance not to provide compensation for specific rank down tickets for those champs mentioned above.

I am currently on a Map 7 alliance running Epic Mods, thus as competitive as it can be right now

making this changes even though on only new map 8 WILL have an impact on the whole aspect of the game as now those alliance playing competitive AQ will move to new Map 8 those that don’t will fall behind in the game essentially making them go into a forced retirement

I highly doubt anyone went for Hercules just to use him as a timeout champ. Same with heimdell or guillotine.

What % of hp will kill you when you timeout? 1% would make sense unless it’s higher.

U ranked up what u ranked it isnt kabams fault u wanting to exploit a bug that kabam has been trying to fix since makes aq stale and not skilled if ur just gonna corvus cheese they could of went a route to just make it so there was no timeouts but the timeout stuff is nice as means u have to plan attackers on if this fight can be done fast enough etc

People seem to disagree with the thought of specific rank down tickets because “players didn’t rank up those champs for that reason.”

If that’s true, then specific rank down tickets won’t be used and that much and it won’t matter then yeah? Only those that really had an issue with the change would rank down…

So why would specific rank down tickets be an issue?

Because they aren't nerfing corvus at all. They are for champ nerfs. They are just changing the way AQ timeouts work.

There was a time where you could solo any mini or boss in any level of AQ with the right champ/skill. When Kabam starting buffing them so you timed out every time or died from block penetration Corvus became the only option to save resources. I run map 7 and I’m probably the only one in my ally that has come close to soloing Apocalypse boss. Odin has taken him down to 15-20% but still I time out despite being one of the few champs that has damn good resistance. Kabam backed off the multiple time folks complained because we saw what it was, a money grab. People weren’t using items as much from timing out. No one needed use potions to heal before taking on the boss. Corvus could just do it.

Also it’s not exploiting a bug when you are using an unfair aspect of the game to your advantage. Timing out takes half your health when you are fighting perfectly and with the purpose of beating the boss or mini. It’s an unfair punishment. Why should players get punished for using that unfair system to our benefit?

I'm game for the removal of the Corvus timeout but can we just remove the fighting time limits from the AQ fights in general? I'm all for finishing the fights as quickly as possible but sometimes the global can make some fights go a bit longer than desired or sometimes the better counter you brought dies and I have useable champs (maybe not ideal) but let me just fight with that champ and have some fun and not penalize me for not die'n with them. Or sometime the boss health pool maybe be a tad bit much for killing with a particular champ but I could go longer than the typical 3 minutes. I'd just like to fight to the death is all whether it be the AQ defender or myself.

One example: I play the Footloose lane, use 5* R5 Corvus on the first BPCW fight. No charges and I don't run suicides so pending the Ai, sometimes that fight lasts the whole 3 minutes. Just let me keep fighting to kill him off w/o penalty or he kills me.

I realize there are other implications for not having a timer on the fight but if anything put a timer on the AQ pausing, not the fighting.

The time out is only for Map 8 andI imagine the boss killer cross fights will make it easier to solo minis and bosses.
I'm more concerned about the lack of rewards update. The price of potions, t5b, t4b and t1a have been outdated for a while now. We need more glory or a reduction in prices

Absolutely agree with some of the above. A better way to prevent the whole corvus cheese dilemma is to just remove timeouts altogether in AQ. No timeouts means no opportunity to corvus cheese and allows players to not be slapped with a 50% health loss for playing a potentially safer/slower style with particular champs. It would make AQ more interesting for some people who like to experiment those slower options too

So im going to assume parry/dex still wont be fixed for a very long time, Corvus can't time out anymore, Peni/Nimrod minis, some power flood + power gain 500% + that node that lets champs get power from hitting through blocks + cant be power stolen or drained, and some other lovely paths.

I can't wait.

Oh man how did i forget about throwing in like 40 Bishops with 2 bars of power start as well. Please throw in a few of those @Kabam Miike
