I cant say if he is good or not by spotlight But it would've been better if he had increased Critical damage raring through focus charges And hopefully his sp1 animation is changed
Seems like this takes him from the bottom of the class, to (at best) middle of the skill class. Seems more like a tune up than an overhaul. Hoping to be proven wrong.
From what I could see, he can't stack more than 3 focus charges, so I assume that "3+" under focus charges is a typo?
Not sure how I feel about the BLEED damage when he has 3 focus charges instead of just a burst of physical damage. Unnecessarily adds a bleed component to the champ and somewhat gimps the damage against bleed immunes. A burst of physical damage would have also worked hand-in-hand with his sig ability.
Don't love the heavy mechanic (I really don't enjoy Crossbones at all because of his heavy mechanic and this is similar from what I can tell).
Not going to make any judgments until I can actually play him (and I'm still excited), but I definitely ruined this buff by hyping it up like crazy for myself lol. I kinda wished they just expanded the focus mechanic, added additional charges where he gains more bonuses, and they persisted through fights.

Ditto this!!! It should have just been physical damage. However, still excited to test out his update.
For an Overhaul I don't think it would've been too much to ask for something like...
*Studying Opponents Pre-Fight*
-Before the fight starts Karnak can Study his Opponent to get a Edge before the battle even begins, choose 1 of 3 Pre-Fights before Each Fight. -Anytime a Passive is Replaced it will return 5 Seconds after that Passive has ended.
-Avoiding Avoidance Karnak starts the fight with a Permanent True Accuracy Passive, when replaced by a True Strike Passive gain an Additional 350 Attack against Block for the rest of the fight. (This can stack)
-Restraining Resistance Karnak starts the fight with a Permanent True Damage Passive, when replaced by a True Strike Passive gain an Additional 350 Crit Damage Rating for the rest of the fight. (This can Stack)
-Visible Visage Karnak starts the fight with a Permanent Vigilance Passive, this Passive will not be replaced by any True Strike Passive.
Gives him half the "True" Utility right off the back, as well once you get into a longer fight it can be used to Ramp Up, or trade the Ramp Up to ignore Miss on top of the True Strike from the Sp1.
He looks fairly Solid but it feels more like a Moderate Update than an actual Overhaul, some neat Abilities, Increases, and the Sig looks Really Important now. But it still doesn't feel like Karnak or an Overhaul, also minor gripe but they seemed to have Removed Karnak's Unique Ability to Reduce a Class Disadvantage to an Even Fight after a certain amount of time. (As well his Sig says he Ignores up to 100% Positive Physical Resistance, most likely Scaling with Sig Level, but the True Strike already does that so it feels a tad redundant.)
I’m inclined to like the buff, especially given that my 6* has been duped several times. And frankly the less they screwed with him the less likely they were to break him or bug him out.

Physical damage is susceptible to reduction with armour and other resistances unlike bleed
I’ve taken some time to read through the release and there’s no doubt it’s an improvement. That part, however, wasn’t hard.
It’s a struggle to see precisely where Karnak fits on a developed roster. True Strike is great, and the ability to generate power by hitting a block is interesting. If I’m not mistaken, he lost the ability to shorten non-damaging debuffs, as well as the reduction of class disadvantage. And he got little synergy help.
Actually game play will determine how much better Karnak is—but the buff feels tentative, almost like a failure of imagination. There was so much room to upgrade Karnak.
It’s not bad on paper, but it’s also not as sweeping as an overhaul seems like it should be—which renews concerns for the effectiveness of the update program in general.
He’s useful, he’s better and he may be much better than it appears. Have to wait on that one until his rollout next month.
His damage will improve but also his playstyle will be drastically changed.
He is now changed to a parry-heavy champ, since he will have to keep knocking down his opponents to keep either the TS or the Furies from expiring (or both, if this is possible).
And he will be a knock-on-block champion to gain power faster, which is in itself a very interesting and very effective mechanism, that only a few champs in the game employ for effectiveness (Warlock, Aarkus, Omega, Masacre - not sure if I'm forgetting someone).

He did lose the class disadvantage interaction, but he does still have a 60% reduction on non-damaging debuff duration.
As for where he fits in a developed roster, I can think of some fun/unique interactions. Newnak has two abilities that reduce block proficiency by 50% each, meaning that he can hit blocks as if they weren’t even there (practicality to be determined).
Nodes that reward striking the opponent’s block like Invade will be fantastic for him. More common nodes, like Special Delivery that work based off of a hit counter mechanic can be bypassed by striking into block. Champions like Thing and Gulk who have counters that increase on being hit can also be bypassed.
It’s certainly weird utility, but weird utility is the best kind for those endgame players who have most other things covered. He’ll find his place.

Crit thru blocks , Double True strike timer , Disorient , Fury , Burst of Bleed damage , 65% poison resistance , more critical rating. Bring it on.

As someone stated above it does look more like a Tune Up which is kind of unfortunate

The rest looks okay but why not a 95% reduction?

I'm interested to see how he plays into the block. That's the most interesting part of the kit to me, suicide-friendliness aside.
