Beginner Boost

So, if you have played a second account or recently started the game, you know about the beginner boost. It's a 7 day boost that gives an additional 30% XP for everything. You obtain this boost by getting ambushed in 1.1.4. When you enter the pre-fight screen, it'll tell you that you have a free boost available. This is where you activate it. For some reason, I didn't obtain this boost at 1.1.4. I think it's a bug, but I'm not sure. Can someone confirm what is happening?
