Hello
So I was playing around with punisher 2099 alot as a r3 and I found him amazing
So I popped a tech gem into him and took him to r4
I'm even thinking about taking him to r5 he's so underatted imo
His qualitys
Some of the best power control in game
And you can start power controlling right of the first hit if you know what you're doing you can power control though out the entire match

He controls power by decreasing combat power rate so if there power drain or lock immune it doesn't effect p99
If somehow a defender gets to sp3 (witch is very difficult to do while you're using p99) instants power drain Nd power lock so they can never use sp3

Very very easy access to heal block
Amazing damage
He's actually a annoying defender aswell
One of the highest block profs on game
Bit of regen

I have 9 r5s punisher will be my 10th what do you guys think? I think he will be good in some of act 6 and war??

He'll be great. Right into Act 6 and out the other side.

I only have one 6*R3 Tech champ...

    Two pieces of advice:
If you can pair him with Captain America (Infinity War), then do.
Put one or two points into Collar Tech; and his power control gets even better.

So many opponents become vastly less threatening once they stop throwing Specials.

And so many nodes become almost irrelevant, like Aspect of Evolution and Typhoon. More than good against EMP modification, Footloose, Static Blast, and Perforate. I could go on, but you get the point.

Not always the best choice, though. Sometimes you actually want the opponent to throw Specials (e.g. Matador nodes). And don't ever take him against Thing!

He's definitely worth it. I mean, yes there are obviously other champs who are 'better'; but if he does what you want from a champion, then go for it.

If you're playing this game for fun, then my perspective is that it's best to choose the champions that are best for you, your needs and your playstyle; rather than just those who are 'best' but require you to fight in ways you don't enjoy or find unsatisfying.

P2099's Damage is more than good enough to make most teams. And whilst he has drawbacks (like a total inability to reduce Ability Power Gain, or cope with opponents who punish a high combo count), his Power Control makes him very useable in a lot of scenarios (I just him in Alliance War offense, Map5/Gold 2)

His ability to more-or-less ignore nodes like the ones I mentioned in my comment above will be really useful to you going through Act 6 (and AW). There are a lot of unpleasant "something bad happens when your opponent throws a Special" nodes in Act 6. And the automatic stun on Heavy is handy for Life Cycle.

Something frequently not appreciated about him is that his Power Denial mechanic is completely passive, and doesn't actually need you to do anything to get it. No debuffs to be shrugged, and no the only Immunity that stops it is the 'Powerful' node that I don't think shows up before Act 7 (or Summer of Pain, if you did that quest).

His Power Denial also works on Cosmic champs who are otherwise immune to most Power control (Annihilus, King Groot, Terrax, Venompool); although it's less effective on Magneto. Avoid him...
