Blood and Venom 3.2 Power Gain

Geez, y’all wanna talk about poor node design in Variant content?

This lane with improved power gain is just ridiculous. Dr Strange as the first fight? Nova, Mephisto, Terrax, Mordo are all on this path as well. I’ve tried to complete this path countless times (only one left for 100%) and it just does not matter what I do, the AI screws me by being passive and cycling sp3s. What the hell am I supposed to do? Any advice welcome

    Also, dropped inputs have been insane in this content. (But hey, we got 5 revives two weeks ago so I should be okay right?)

    Anyone who lowers or reduces power gain should do the trick. Champs that come to mind are S99 and Swen

    The team I’ve been using is 5/65 doom (s200), r3 Claire unduped, 5/65 starky (s200), 5/65 venom (s40?) and symbiote supreme 5* r4 (sig 140?)

    If you don’t mind me adding, one of my pet peeves is when people storm onto the forums and rant about how a simple node makes for an unfair interaction. In this case, it is mildly difficult, I’ll give you that. But there are plenty of answers and you would enjoy it more if you would acknowledge that and treat it like a more difficult puzzle to solve. Not all paths are fair in all content (looking at you VP), but that one is fine.

    I’m fully aware this path isn’t the hardest content in the game, and that there are counters (that I have) but when you have tried x amount of times only to die to the same interactions, you naturally can get frustrated.

    I didn’t think I was coming on here ranting, but frustratedly asking for advice/counters I’m over thinking. That’s all.

    5/65 doom, r3 Claire, r2 venom, r3 diablo. Didn't use starky

    Doom cycle for doctor strange.but only sp3 , sp1, 5 hit heavy, sp3 repeat constantly since he gains so much power. It works very well. Took an sp3 at the beginning so die to strange when he was 8% health or so.

    Thorags with venom. Or pretty much anyone. Nova with venom. O ly use sp1 and keep nova in corner. He's very liberal with sp1. Diablo for terrax. I don't have sym ranked
    . Claire for mephisto. Switch to incinerate, build to sp2 or sp3 manage his power.

    Claire for mordo. Use any phase don't think it matters much. But poison phase to he safe

    Oh yeah I’ve seen that, V1-3 probably won’t ever get explored by me because of stuff like that

    Do you have Doc Oc? He worked for me, he will power lock them, then push them to the corner and heavy spam.

    There's an improved power gain and aspect of evolution path with Doctor Strange, Havok, Mephisto and Sym in V4.1.2. Took me multiple tries to do it itemlessly.

    I see a 5* magik in your roster who needs to be ranked up.

    Start farming revives in the meantime. Magik to r5 is a no brainer for a lot of content. I've got double doom and I still rely on Magik for content like this. Plus, she'll make your intercept game better with her back draft play style. This is a rough oath, bit once you lock them with an sp2, it's basically a regular right. Mephisto is the worst of it, bit save Claire for him.

    I don't have Doom so it was a long Magik and HB fight. Void didn't work

    I see a 5* magik in your roster who needs to be ranked up.

    You’re right, I should’ve ranked her up long ago, but don’t know if I can spare the t5b at the moment, but I’ll give her a shot. Where do you farm revives?

    The way I read it, you start off by talking about the node design, almost as if it should get lumped in with the issues of v8. That is not the case, obviously. You do end off by asking for help, which I why the response was generally positive. I just wanted to point out that it is exactly what variant content should be, other than the limited rosters that also affect synergies.

    I just wanted to address the attitude and maybe offer a different perspective. I’m sorry that it came off standoffish. That said, did you try magik? Just get to that first sp2 and you should be good
    I mean, fair enough. The frustration comes from having the counters but getting wrecked by passive AI and/or annoying power gain.

    I agree with the difficulty point, my roster is realistically more than prepared for this specific, but most, Variant content. I’m just going to save up some resources and (begrudgingly) get through it that way.
