Variant 6 Chapter 2 Quest 1 Bug?

Already made a bug report on this but wasn't sure if this was working as intended or not. The beast node is supposed to give reverse healing debuff consistently however doesn't work all of the time with Red Mags and Kingpin.

Nodes count as opponent's abilities so if you reduce it via pacify or KP Sp1, it won't trigger sometimes
