They lowered the power of my characters

Last night I finished exploring my act 4 and with the rewards I ascended my 4-star captain America to tier 5 and woke up my 4-star Hercules and added 34 levels of singularity.
Both characters were left with more than 6000 power, both rank 5 level 50. When I finished leveling them up I left the mcoc app and started watching videos, when I returned to mcoc both characters were much lower in power, it's as if I hadn't leveled up both characters were less than 5600 and for me that my account is small that difference is VERY BIG.
