Is there a bug in the side quest ?

It seems nearly impossible to do a well time block against IMIW? I do it once and get the fury form the synergy but then it’s nearly impossible to do it again and the auto block is insane

Is it a case of me just sucking or is there a bug?

    I did it with Mole Man but it’s still crazy . So far the only ones with whom I can actually inflict any real damage are Mole Man and Domino. Everyone can barely do a well yikes block more then once and the auto block makes it nearly impossible to attack . It’s so weird . Did I misread the nodes and miss something ?

    Red Mags makes it a breeze. I also had a good run with Guardian
