Stuck on upgrades

I've been playing for about a month and a half and have a pretty decent roster, but I don't know if I should upgrade my 5 star professor x or my 4 star apocalypse? Could anyone help, thanks.

As you progress, 5*s will become more important to your account, and your 4*s will remain gathering dust. If you're looking to future-proof yourself, then go with the 5*.

Assuming, however, that you're still working your way through earlier acts, in story mode, you'll probably find it much easier/less costly to rank your 4*s, so that's also worth considering.
