    TBH you could spend the same amount of units on both and get better rewards from completing act 6.

    The gifting event has too much RNG to be worth investing units in, over a progression upgrade.

    Plus TB will get you better deals and rewards in general

    Alt idea: use units for gifting and just get good enough to become TB without.

    Trade revives and potions with your alliance mates in exchange for whatever they want. That way you get thronebreaker and use units for gifting as well. But not sure if you want to wait that long to get thronebreaker
