As the title implies, not here asking for gifts, just wondering if I can get answers to my questions. From Kabam, one of their lackeys(not naming anybody) or from someone with some programming knowledge.
Now, allegedly, no changes were made to the AI. Not intentionally anyways it would seem. So what could cause the AI to completely change behavior? I think it’s been well documented by content creators and a lot of members, with concrete evidence ie videos, that the opponent’s behavior has drastically changed. Not throwing sp’s, intercepting, etc…
Now if no changes were made directly to the AI, what could’ve affected it? We seeing the beginning of Skynet? I have 0 programming knowledge but fairly sure we have quite a few tech savvy members, are we witnessing the rise of the machine? Is Ultron the one responsible for all this? Lol

Plain and Simply: Some other type of code is affecting the combat/ai code in unexpected ways.
This happens a lot in game dev. You’ll code something, you’ll get a bug. A bug for coding is when something that shouldn’t happen occurs. The most extreme being a piece of content isn’t working how it is intended. Fixing these codes can be very simple or very complicated. It may not be as simple as one piece of code being affected. It could possibly be multiple pieces of code being affected and affecting each other. Coding is similar to a ball of string. If it’s tangled, you have to untangle it.
The biggest issue I can see with all the issues we have been having is the new game engine. I’ve never heard of a new game engine being implemented when a live game has been running. The usual thing to do in dev is make a new game with the new engine so this I truely new terrain for Kabam I think. The game needed a new engine so they can create the new content they wanted like the Strikers System, Battlegrounds, New Quality of Life improvements that weren’t possible with a 5+ year old game engine. It’s equivalent of trying to create new content for a PS5 and running it on a PS2 or a 10 year old PC. It’s a giant undertaking and I don’t know any dev that would try and do it. It’s crazy and more than likely the reason why it’s taking so long to get everything back to normal. That’s just my two sense and I could be wrong.
I wrote up a list here, I think that’s a pretty accepted take on what’s weird about the AI
