AW ranking question

We are currently running a couple BGs and Gold 3. The rewards says there are 1500 G3 allliances. However, looking at rankings for G3, it only shows 1000 alliances. Why is this? Thanks in advance for helpful responses.

    Maybe that’s all the game can load at one time 🤷‍♂️
