Making lower tier (1,2,3s) useful.

When Variant 4 was released almost 3 years ago (December 2019), Kabam had said that they're looking for more ways to make the lower tier champs more useful.
It's been almost 3 years since and still there hasn't been anything of such again (barring some Carina's challenges).
So my question specifically to Kabam is that is there anything in the upcoming future which may have us use our lower stars champs?

    with the rol challenges, three stars became really useful. In this months sq, we get free 2 stars that are pretty much usable just for quest exploration. though we do need some content to feel the og vibes

    The rewards for those Carina challenges are already dated to the point of near-irrelevance. They were important in establishing who got to be paragon before July 4 deals, but are meaningless now when you can get a full t6 and T3 every two months in EoP and every two months from SQ/EQ.

    We’ve been waiting for over a year for content requiring a diverse roster.

    My roster is a hilarious time capsule where star levels roughly correspond to release. I started in 2017 and my maxed 3-stars are all old champs and a few I needed for Carina.

    My max 4’s are a lot of 2017/18 because they loosened the reins on those shards. My max 5s are disproportionately 18/19 and buffed champs. I was TB by the start of 2021, so I’m not sure I’ve ranked anyone below a 6-star from 2021/22 besides Hercules.
