Nick Fury and Professor X interaction

I just fought NF in alliance wars on the Mix Master Mini node in the middle of the map. Tier 4 AW. As soon as NF went into his second life, Prof X lost all of his 100 charges quickly and went out of mind control. Here is a video of it when using the 'practice' option from my roster. Is this working as intended? Because it's never worked this way in the past.
