Possible bug with liquid courage in arenas

When fighting a rank 2 6 star Hyperion in arena my 6 star rank 1 ghost rider was suddenly stuck into blocking and began taking around 5 k damage per tick and died. When I ended the fight the fight screen said I had been hit by liquid courage over 700 times for around 50k damage. Is this a known bug ?
