Can't find missing auto-fight button

Have created many new accounts before. Just created one a few hours ago and when I hit level 19 I got a notification that "ability unlocked: auto-fight", but the button to turn it on is missing. Looks like in the past month they've made changes to new account milestones like you can't join an alliance until you beat Thanos now. That wasn't the case about a month ago. Can't find posts about these changes, sorry if I missed them. Help please.
