5 stars in Battle Grounds?

I've recently had a string of getting lucky with the 5 star feature crystal.... pulling the likes of Attuma, infamous Ironman, shuri, Gorr, and Hulking. I don't have any as 6s... Are 5 stars even a viable option for BGs? I feel as if I could or should focus on 6s but they're not bangers!

    My bg roster is mostly 6* r3/4. But i still have a couple of 5* in there, Fury and Nimrod fx. 5* Fury is rarely beaten easily and the big marshmallow melts r4 mutants with ease. I play casually in gold, in the top tier 5* are not as viable i guess.

    I've gotten through victory track quite easily with 5 5* champs so I would say ranking some is fine, particularly the defensive options. For reference, my 5* are all defensively viable (Nick, thing, domino, sasquatch and ibom).

    From your options, hulking, gorr and (maybe) attuma would be great for bgs, even as 5*.

    It depends on the champ and what they can do for you. 1/3rd of my deck used to be 5* champs until the cyber deals but I still have a couple I use depending on the meta. 5* Nimrod is a mutant killer, 5* Domino is still great on defense if you have her sig maxed, 5* iDoom destroys Bishop, Havok, and Kitty, 5* Stealthy has amazing crit damage and finishes fights fast. I think 5* Shuri would make an excellent defender right now because she’s new and annoying AF to fight. The rule is pretty much, the same as it was a few years ago when people were debating on whether or not they should invest in their 5* champions. You should focus on 6* but certain 5* are worth the investment if they can help you clear content. BG changed a lot of peoples thinking on who is worth investing in. If you think you can get some wins with certain 5* which will get you better rewards, go for it

    They still have uses but obviously if you match against all duped R3's or above you're going to be at a disadvantage. 1/3 of my BG deck is max 5*'s.

    Like yourself I don't have Hulkling as a 6*, nor do I have Bishop, Kitty, Kingpin, Guardian etc.

    For reference I'm in Diamond I.
