    People definitely have itemless runs in Gauntlet and Act 8. Albeit they are likely using R3+ but that's endgame content. You aren't intended to do it itemless. Abyss is really the only thing that requires these champs and even that is only because of very restrictive nodes that will never be seen outside of content like that.

    I ask again. What is the meaning of hard enough for r3? Is it the health pool of the defenders or complexity of nodes? Complexity of nodes would hardly warrant a champ with higher stats. A boosted r2 would be equivalent of r3 or r4. So basically people want an inflated health pool on defenders so they can have 20 minute long fights?
