Expiring Items Clarity

Due to the short-life of certain items in my overflow, I need to wait as long as possible to claim rewards and (in this case) gifts from the Banquet Event. However, I don't know which timer is correct between my in-game mailbox and the reward panel of my overflow. Hopefully, someone knows for sure which timer is the real timer... maybe @Kabam Jax or someone equally as wise. As small as these items may seem to most of you, I really don't want to lose them before I can use them. Please see the images below and let me know which is correct.

    You have 25 days to claim it from your mail. Once claimed you have 3 days to use it before it expires in the stash. Not sure why it's hard to comprehend.

    Normally, the "rewards" tab of the overflow has a longer time-frame. What I don't comprehend is that I HAVEN"T CLAIMED THE REWARD FROM THE MAIL. So... if the timer expires in the overflow rewards tab, what happens when my mail disappears?
    I waited until TODAY to claim the battlegrounds package from Kabam because I didn't want things to expire without the ability to use it all... battlegrounds wasn't active until today. HOWEVER, the in-game mail had disappeared a week ago. I was only able to claim it thru the "rewards" tab of my overflow. Mind you, the claim expiration for the battlegrounds stuff was in-sync... and had time to spare.
    The claim timer for my gifted items are OBVIOUSLY not in-sync. It is still both in my in-game mailbox AND the overflow... until either the mail disappears OR the timer in the "rewards" overflow expires.
    Again, my question is which timer is correct? The answer ISN'T both.

    From my experience the in mail timer was accurate with these gifts. I can’t say for all claimable items but I tested it earlier and the rewards disappeared but it was still in my mail so I claimed it and it went to my inventory

    It’s hard to comprehend because it has been observed that the mail disappears before the timer runs out. So if you haven’t claimed it from the rewards tab already, you don’t have the ability to claim the items when the mail disappears.
