Did Arena matchmaking take a jump up?

I noticed this week that once I get to 5 or 6 wins, the 3x, the match ups are much higher than they were. It also seems putting a much lower level scrub doesn't help balance things as it did before.
Anyone else notice this?

    Yes. The more ranked up and collected champions you have then the more impact it will have on the arena. I’ve only just now seen a picture from a group chat that a player have a 5 of r4 6* of its top 5 champion. R5 6* is not far away.

    Maybe. I just know that this last week, once I get to 6 or 7 wins, the opposing arena team is much higher than it was the previous three months. This happens even if I only have 2 top heroes and 1 scrub to make matches easier. My roster has not jumped up that much

    It always changes as people get stronger rosters...
    The presence of r5s changed it a bit
