Why is SQ usually weekly?

I had this question for a while, I remember some SQs being doable just when they came out, but it usually comes out weekly, so my question to Kabam is why, just curious.

I think it is because they want people to have something to do each week, or it makes people more engaged with the game.

I personally would prefer to be able to do all the SQ in 1 day if I can, I enjoy more since I dont have to be aware on when is the next path avaible, or what new objectives there are, or even If I have time or I want to play that much the game that week because maybe Im tired and Im not having fun.

I think it is better for the game to leave it how it is but Im just curious.

If i may give my own answer:
Having something new to do every week through out the month

I think people used to complain when SQ could be all done in one day and then have nothing to do for the rest of the month. I preferred it that way as it gives me the control when to complete SQ.
Also for smalller rosters, it is really hard to juggle between AQ, AW and EQ/SQ when you don’t have depth or time to manoeuvre… Make last week of the event more stressful than it should be as the best prize is usually hidden behind it.

Yeah but if you want to do it weekly, you can even if its doable all at once, its your choice, Kabam shouldnt change it I think

Weekly setup: A few players complain not being able to complete it all Day 1.
Binge setup: A lot* of players complain not having anything to do the rest of the month.

*You could argue that it would be the same number of complaints either way, and I would not have anything to back up this guess. But I can certainly see players having nothing to do complain more (since they have nothing else to do but complain), whereas players who are busy with something every week will complain less.

It is all a trade off and the weekly way is probably more favorable.

Its why we typically have about the same amount of months where can do it all in one day and other months we gotta wait weekly.

Yeah but now we have things to do, we have BGs to cover the time that AQ and AW doesnt cover

It's been weekly for quite a long time now
We haven't got any "do it when it comes out" SQ in probably the entirety of last year

You can do all the side quests in one day...at the end of the month.

Also from a business perspective getting people to return for X amount of time every week looks good on paper. It’s why a lot of live service games drip feed content in that way.

It’s because the company wants you to play whole month and not only 3-4 days to collect all rewards.
It’s bit of a psychological concept.
That’s why they stopped making Side Quest explore on day1

I still could do that on the last week
