BG matching grows ever more unfair

After this recent event there have been many players acquiring more R5 6* characters, mainly paragon, and I am a TB with only 2 R4 6* champs neither are even duped… so when I match an account barely past gold 1 with almost a full top row of their deck being R5 6*s I am drastically outmatched, skill does not factor in this match up, I could be the best player in the world but my R3 champ will not out perform a R5, this is becoming ridiculous, match my BG games with an equal strength deck or don’t match me at all, if it was the GC I would understand getting an elden ring level boss account to have to fight but in the VT matchmaking should be fair and even keeled, please kabam someday acknowledge this disparity and update it for fairness, thank you.

Yeah I feel your pain. I'm stuck at silver III. I have eight r4 6* and the rest are at r3. My opponents all the the lastest most annoying champs at r4+ and almost all of them are rocking a legends tag. Matchmaking is slower than in past seasons too.

Using my not so fantastic sample size of one alliance, I'd say the number of players in BGs has dropped quite a bit.
The affect will be to increase the spread of power you'll be matched with, as less players matching at any one time will mean you're less likely to find an equal match.
I only played the last week of last season and matched lots of players much weaker than me. It had never been easier.
