Battlegrounds wins and Losses

I haven’t been keeping up 100% with recent news, but I noticed earlier when playing battlegrounds that I lost the first game I played, then I used elder marks for another game and I won and it took me to Bronze II and the same happened when I lost my next game after entering Bronze II then won the next and it took me to Bronze I and I got a bunch of of trophy tokens that I’m afraid to use because I didn’t win two matches to get into the next rank and I don’t know how it’s even happening, is this happening to anyone else where it took one win to send you to the next rank?

    you now get 2 medals for a win and only lose 1 for a loss until you get to diamond.
