Can’t use special attacks - orientation issue?

I’m having an issue where I can’t use special attacks. It’s happened in battlegrounds and story content. I’ve uploaded a video clip in Act 8.2.4 against the Morningstar boss. You’ll see what looks like me tapping block repeatedly when I’m trying to throw a SP3.
It may be related to an orientation bug where the game won’t stay in landscape mode when I tilt my phone. As a result it temporarily squishes the UI. When I rotate back and resume the fight, pressing the Special Attack buttons doesn’t do anything.
I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro Max on iOS 16.5.1 running MCOC 40.0.1.

You should record another video but this time with "Show finger taps option" turned on so that way You'll have proff that You actually pressing on that button
