Tier 1 Alpha catalyst help

I am short on tier 1 Alpha catalyst and I can't get more from sigil store tomorrow. Is there anything thing other than spend money to get more of them? I have been playing for a month and I am on Act 5.2.4. I need to upgrade tier 5 units because I am finally getting them more. I ran out of Tier 1 after ranking Kate and Infinity War captain America. I have plenty of the other materials just not these. Some of the characters I have that are 5* are cap inf war, Kate, Kingpin. Stark Spider man, Odin, Nick Fury, Black cat, Venom, Vulture, Toad, Skrull, Jabari Panther, Sentry, Void, Juggernaut, Antivenom, Diablo, Yellowjacket, Mr Sinister, Omega Red, and Mr Negative. I also have 2 6 star units which are Guardian and Invisible woman. I got those 2 from the event. I'm having a tough time choosing a team for the future. 5.2.4 is still very difficult even with the IW Cap, Kate
Invisible woman, and Guardian. Juggernaut is my last slot. Please advise on how to proceed.

    Okay, thank you for letting me know of those ways to get the Alpha Catalysts. I don't even know who I need to be ranking or who to use the 5* awakening Gem on when I get it at this point. I'm kind of overwhelmed, and having a hard time with act 5. I kind of blew through the rest of the acts, beat act 4 before the nerf. Act 5 was supposedly even more insane before the nerf, and I'm still having trouble. In game chat is no help, they just tell me how am I not Cavalier yet.

    I'm completely new to the game. Only a month in now, and I wish I had known this game existed, and I could have started a lot sooner. But I just feel really time gated or like I have to spend on units to get revives, Energy Refills, and health potions to push through the bosses in Act 5.2. It's very frustrating, and trying to take an unique team in that covers the maximum amount of weaknesses is difficult.

    The glory store has a good amount of t1a in it also if you are in an alliance and run aq. If you are truly truly desperate you can spend like 15 units or something to buy them in the rank up tab in the store

    You've got a pretty great lineup of champs there. The Awakening Gem is probably best served going to Nick Fury - it is not only a great safety net, but a skilled player can utilise it offensively, deliberately going into that second phase to utilise the Fury buff.

    The other 5* you listed have some amazing options in there:
    Cap Infinity War ideally needs to be awakened and max sig to fully utilise his synergy abilities; but even without that he's still a reliable Unstoppable counter along with Perfect block and decent damage output potential (especially with his L2 Special)

    Kate Bishop is arguably one of the best skill champs in the game, you're really lucky to have her so early - learn how to utilise her ASAP

    Kingpin is another contender for best Skill champ - prioritise him

    Stark Spiderman is a glass cannon - he can disk out great damage, but can't take hits to save his life. Learn to build his charges and then go nuts.

    Venom is hugely underrated - he completely shuts down all the Spider-people evaders, has reliable buffs (to counter nodes that require you to have them) and bleeds opponents out - plus can eat their buffs to regain health, making him reasonably survivable.

    Void needs awakening, but is a great healing counter - get a few debuffs on them and watch their regen melt

    Diablo used to be a joke, then he got revamped and is now one of the best.

    Juggernaut, Black Cat, Antivenom, and Odin are all also great choices.
