Joining Battlegrounds one week before it ends

Will players still get a reward after joining battlegrounds at this time? If so, how long do they have to wait to be qualified ? Or, Is it too late?

    You get the rewards as you progress through the victory track so you're good. If you reach the gladiators circuit you need to do at least one fight in there to qualify for the season rewards
